Brian T Silcott

Brian has been playing and coaching lacrosse for over 40 years.

 

He was a 2X All American, National Midfielder of the Year and National Champion in college. He went on to play professionally in the MLL and NLL serving as the Captain of the Boston Cannons for four years and lead teams in both the MLL and NLL their respective Championship Games.  

 

When he retired from professional play at the age 40 he quickly became a head coach in the MLL and soon after the Executive Vice President and Governor for the NLL's Portland Lumberjax.  He has been a college head coach, operated club teams, directed camps, launched youth leagues and provided coaches education to countless programs over the past 30 years.  He also spent time working for US Lacrosse serving as the national men's game director and was the Head Coach of the Scotland Men's National Team.

 

Outside of lacrosse Brian has started several successful companies, worked in market research, managed athletic facilities and served as the CEO of the Oregon State Fair and Exposition Center.  

 

Brian is committed to growing the sport of lacrosse domestically in the USA and around the world.  

 

He currently serves as the Head of Player Relations for the Premier Lacrosse League and The Director of Operations for Jamaica Lacrosse.  He is also a member of the US Lacrosse Board of Directors and the Oakland Lacrosse Advisory Board.

 

Brian has been inducted into the Hall of Fame at Fox Lane High School and the US Lacrosse Hudson Valley Chapter (NY).  He lives in Silver Spring, MD with his wife Karen and son Cameron James.
